Advancing Orthobiologic Practice in Asia-Pacific
The Aptissen Academy 2024, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (30 November – 1 December), brought together a select group of international and regional experts for a focused exchange on orthobiologics and musculoskeletal care.
The programme centred on clinically relevant treatment strategies and combination therapies, with key topics including:
- The role of hyaluronic acid in daily orthopaedic practice and post-surgical prevention
- Emerging approaches combining HA with sorbitol, PRP, and cell secretome technologies
- Evidence-based optimisation of orthobiologic treatment outcomes
A strong emphasis was placed on translating scientific insights into practical decision-making, supported by real-world experience and open discussion formats, including a roundtable on the future of orthobiologics.
